Bridging The Health Gap One Hospital At A Time

Access to quality and affordable medication and health services is still a burden for many Tanzanians. Recent surveys by the World Health Organization indicate that only 34.9% of Public health care facilities have properly-stocked pharmacies. Because of this, Tanzanians are forced to acquire medication from private hospitals and pharmacies which may be a long and costly experience. Here at MYDAWA, we are committed to not only giving you the best in healthcare and wellness products, we also seek to be a part of the change that will positively impact the society around us. To this effect, we began a medical donation drive that kicked off at the Coast General Hospital in January this year that seeks to see healthcare institutions receive medication worth KES 2M. This move is in line with MYDAWA’s vision to ensure quality, affordability, cost- effectiveness and convenient access to medicines for all Tanzanians.

On 5th February, we took to the Komarock Modern Healthcare, a hospital located along the Eastern Bypass. The healthcare centre offers professional services that help hundreds of people each day. During our visit, we donated drugs ranging from prescription medicines such as antibiotics, non-prescription medicines and wellness boosters such as vitamins and supplements, will be delivered to hospitals across Dar es salaam over the next 6 months.
